Dubai. UAE, 14h November 2010 - Citymax Hotel, the hospitality arm of the Landmark Group, announces the opening of their second property, Citymax Hotel Bur Dubai.

Having only entered the hospitality market earlier this year with the launch of Citymax Hotel Al Barsha, the Citymax brand is quickly becoming a major market player.

The steep drop in occupancy that began in 2008 saw the regions mid-market and budget hotels suffer, with levels dropping from 80% to around 56%. 2010 was the start of stabilization in the market and figures crept back up to 76%. Since the opening of Citymax Al Barsha in May 2010 the hotel has enjoyed rapidly increasing occupancy levels and General Manager, Landmark Group - Hotels Division, Michael Weyland explains why he is excited about expanding the brand and his thoughts for the future:

"A decade ago the UAE may have been considered a stopover option, today it has firmly established itself as a holiday destination in its own right. Once focused on the five star properties, recently there has been a sharp increase in the number of mid-market hotels coming on-line, making the UAE a more affordable option. This is supported by the introduction of new low cost carriers and new routes thereby making the UAE easily accessible to all market segments.

Since the opening of our first property we have experienced a high volume of visitors with both international tourists and GCC residents staying at the hotel. This figure has increased on a monthly basis, clearly showing the need for a greater mid-market offering in the region and as such highlighting a trend in occupancy levels that we see continuing in the future.

We are very excited about Citymax Hotel Bur Dubai entering this rapidly growing market and have already received many online bookings prior to the opening, we are looking forward to welcoming these guests and all of our future visitors."

To celebrate the launch Citymax Hotel Bur Dubai is offering a fantastic introductory rate of AED150 per night valid until November 30th.

Citymax Hotel Bur Dubai  offers 691 rooms consisting of twins and double rooms. The hotel has a total of five F&B outlets including the Indian restaurant Claypot, a Chinese fusion restaurant Sizzling Wok, the cosmopolitan Sports Lounge and an all-day buffet restaurant serving international dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also a 24-hour coffee shop with a convenience store.

For guests looking for recreation, Citymax Hotels offers a fully equipped gym and a roof top swimming pool with magnificent view of the city. Each room comes en-suite with a power shower as standard and features luxury mattresses, high speed internet and LCD TVs to ensure optimum relaxation during your stay.
