Axis Communications, the global leader in the network video market1, introduces their new generation of outdoor ready HDTV technology, full-featured thermal network cameras and IP-based mobile video surveillance solution at Intersec 2010.
Marking its fourth presence at the Middle East's largest security trade fair and conference, Axis Communications reveals its latest extensive product portfolio of HDTV cameras utilizing the H.264 compression techniques standard, on a 54 square meter stand, specifically developed to showcase the network cameras ranging from the smallest and smartest wireless cameras, to day and night cameras capable of delivering exceptional image detail.
Axis is exhibiting at Intersec 2010 from 17th- 19th January 2010 and is participating at the Intersec Forum for Commercial Security on 18th January 2010. Marketing Director for Axis Communications EMEA, Dominic Bruning is a guest speaker where leading experts are discussing the latest issues and trends in the industries. Bruning is presenting technology drivers in network video, and giving participants an insight into the future growth of the Middle East's security industry and the drivers behind this growing demand.
"Intersec 2010 is an ideal opportunity for us to launch and emphasize the strength of our new range of HDTV and outdoor products. Today's launch provides our customers with cost-efficient, easy-to-install network cameras for professional installations and will promote safety and security in critical areas such as public places, industries, railways, ports and roads. We see a great demand for these new cameras in the Middle East and we are proud to be able to broaden our portfolio and thereby contribute to strengthening our customers' security systems", says Baraa Al Akkad, Regional Manager, Axis Communications Middle East.
Axis today announces a new series of outdoor-ready, high-performance fixed network cameras that save installation time and costs. The IP66-rated outdoor-ready cameras have protection against dust, rain, snow and sun. The cameras are powered by Power over Ethernet for easy installation.
The outdoor-ready cameras, including megapixel (MP) / HDTV models, delivers exceptional image quality and support multiple streams in H.264 and Motion JPEG, two-way audio, intelligent video functionalities such as video motion detection, audio detection, active tampering alarm, and have built-in SD/SDHC memory card slot for storing recordings locally. The cameras consist of the following: AXIS P1343-E Network Camera, AXIS P1344-E Network Camera, AXIS P1346-E Network Camera, AXIS Q1755-E Network Camera
Axis Communications is also the first company on the market to offer customers full-featured thermal network cameras for surveillance. The new network cameras launched at Intersec use thermal imaging, which allows users to detect people and incidents with great reliability even in complete darkness and other difficult conditions. Thermal cameras can also handle many difficult weather conditions better than conventional cameras, e.g. allowing operators to see through haze, dust, and smoke. AXIS Q1910 is designed for indoor surveillance, while AXIS Q1910-E is an IP66-rated, outdoor-ready camera.
Up until now, there have been no such cameras available on the market, and existing analog thermal cameras have typically been designed for high-end installations and are associated with a high price and a large degree of customization.
Axis Communications also unveiled today, a complete, IP-based mobile video surveillance solution consisting of a new series of network cameras and a network video recorder for use in buses, trains, subway cars and emergency vehicles. These cameras include the AXIS M31-R Network Camera Series and the AXIS Q8108-R Network Video Recorder.
Axis' Network Cameras are supported by the industry's largest base of video management software through the Axis Application Development Partner program as well as AXIS Camera Station.
1 Axis Communications is the global market leader in the network video market with a market share of network cameras of 31.2%. The world market for network cameras alone is forecast to be worth more than $2.5 Billion by 2013. The network camera market is set to have a CAGR of more than 28 per cent per year over the next five years, according to industry analyst house IMS Research (www.imsresearch.com) in its latest market report entitled 'The World Market for CCTV and Video Surveillance Equipment 2009 Edition' published in August 2009.
