Riyadh: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) opened Thursday in red territory, after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) levelled down 41.35 points, or 0.54%, to 7,594.03 points.

By 10:40 am Saudi time, TASI’s traded volume reached 12.4 million shares exchanged through 12,300 transactions, with a turnover of SAR 265 million.

The commercial and professional services sector fell 1.78%, followed by the banking, telecommunication and materials sectors with 0.77%, 0.5%, and 0.34%, respectively.

On the other hand, the energy sector inched up 0.09%, while the real estate investment traded funds (REITs) sector rose 0.07%.

Mediterranean and Gulf Insurance and Reinsurance Company’s (MedGulf) stock led losers with 5.63%, while Saudi Paper Manufacturing Company’s (SPMC) stock topped gainers with 5.8%.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the benchmark index of the Nomu secondary market, remained unchanged at 2,520.44 points.
