DUBAI  - Saudi Arabia' state grain buyer SAGO said on Monday it bought 1.02 million tonnes of feed barley in a tender.

The barley was purchased at an average price of $209.95 a tonne and origins included Australia, the European Union, Black Sea and North and South America, at the seller's option.

The shipments are distributed over 17 consignments, of which 840,000 tonnes are for arrival at Red sea ports and 180,000 tonnes are for arrival at Gulf ports, a SAGO statement said.

SAGO gave the following breakdown of the purchase, with prices in dollars per tonne on a cost and freight (C&F) basis, and delivery periods between brackets:
