According to the data issued by the Directorate-General of Civil Aviation 5 countries – Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and India make the bulk of passengers (878,000 passengers) traveling to and from the Kuwait International Airport (KIA) out of the 1.4 million over the last 3 months – which account for 63% of the total passengers crisscrossing the airport, reports Al-Anba daily.

The data shows Turkey ranked as the first travel destination from Kuwait with 314.65 people travelling to Istanbul over the past three months – about 130,000 departures from Kuwait and about 185,000 coming from Turkey; the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia came in second place with 150.14 thousand passengers – 82 thousand passengers traveling to the Kingdom and 68 coming in; Egypt ranked third with 144,000 passengers – 75,000 inbound passengers and 69,000 outbound; the United Arab Emirates fourth with 138.7 thousand passengers – 53 thousand inbound and 85.6 thousand passengers outbound and lastly India with 130.3 thousand passengers – 45,000 inbound and 85,000 outbound
