Ministry of Health has started vaccinating domestic workers (if they have not been vaccinated earlier) entering the country through the “Bil Salama” platform, reports Al-Qabas daily. The owners of domestic labor offices told the daily the Ministry of Health vaccinated the arriving domestic workers with the first dose of the anti-Corona vaccine, and sent a phone message to the sponsors on the telephone number that appears on the visa to bring the worker to receive the second dose.

The vaccinations are given to female domestic workers who were confirmed not to have been infected with the virus while at the same time insisting on the incoming workers to bring PCR certificates from their respective countries obtained no later than 72 hours prior to travel date. They sources confirmed batches of domestic workers have arrived from India and the Philippines but in limited numbers compared to the high number of requests from citizens.
