ArabFinance: Egypt announced 163 new coronavirus infections, raising the total to 101,340, according to a September 16th ministerial statement.

The death toll reached 5,679 after detecting 18 new fatalities.

Some 776 new patients have been discharged after recovering from the disease, bringing the total recoveries to 85,745.

Egypt is reportedly placed to be the distributor of Russia’s Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine to Africa, Al Mal news website quoted Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, as saying on September 15th.
