RIYADH The General Directorate of Civil Defense warned the public to be wary of the potential dangers caused by the inclement weather conditions in some regions of the Kingdom from Sunday until Tuesday.

The Civil Defense Directorate said in a statement that rain accompanied by thunderstorms is predicted to hit some regions of the Kingdom, including Makkah, Riyadh, Asir, Hail, Tabuk, and Al-Baha.

Moderate to heavy rain and brisk winds are likely to be experienced in these regions and there is a possibility for torrential downpour and flashfloods while regions such as Madinah and the Eastern Province will be affected by light to moderate rain and brisk winds.

The General Directorate of Civil Defense called on everyone to stay away from places of flashfloods and water pools following torrential rain and to abide by the Civil Defense instructions announced through various media outlets to ensure their safety.
