The National Centre of Meteorology, NCM, has called on drivers and pedestrians to take all necessary precautions against poor visibility caused by fog formation.

In its statement, the NCM warned of poor visibility of less than 1,000 metres at times over central and western areas from 1 till 9 am Monday morning.

Weather forecast for the day also included chances of cloudy weather, with more fog and mist forming by late night and early Monday morning over some internal areas, especially in the western region.

Light to moderate northeast and northwestern winds will flow near the coastal areas.

Sea conditions will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf, becoming rougher at night. Oman Sea will also see slight to moderate waves.

Temperatures dropped to 10.4 degrees Celsius in Raknah and 10.7 degrees in Jebel Jais at 7 and 3am respectively.
