Forty-five educational teams have been set up to design online learning modules for thousands of public school students.
The Education Ministry announced yesterday the teams were created to ensure that the students continue with their studies, despite schools being suspended until March 29 amid Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) concerns.
The teams have been divided according to subjects and grades, while adhering to the curriculum.
Minister Dr Majid Al Nuaimi praised the teams for working extra hours to get the study material ready.
“These teams are formed to ensure education services continue to be provided online to students under this extraordinary situation,” he said.
The minister met the teams and was briefed on the e-lesson samples and study materials designed for various subjects.
He said a circular has been issued to school officials emphasising the online education portal, while teachers have been instructed to continue with virtual discussions with the students.
