Sharjah schools will implement 100 per cent e-learning for students for the first two weeks of the new academic term. Schools across the country will reopen on August 30.

"To ensure health & safety of the students, teachers and educational staff, the local Emergency Crisis & Disaster Management Authority of Sharjah & the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) have decided on #distancelearning mode for the first 2 weeks of 2020/2021 #academicyear," the SPEA tweeted.

"The situation is being continuously monitored and we will keep sharing the updates," the SPEA added.

This is a developing story.
