KUWAIT CITY: The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) does not allow companies or employers to process transactions concerning their workers without the salary certificate, except the renewal of residency permits.

Sources explained the request for salary certificates during the transfer or cancellation of residency permits is aimed at ensuring that the workers received their financial rights – whether Kuwaiti or non-Kuwaiti.

Sources said this will also ensure the companies’ commitment to protect the financial and employment rights of nationals in terms of the disbursement of additional financial support.

Sources reiterated that the recent decision of PAM allows companies to renew work permits without presenting the salary certificate, while other labor-related transactions will be processed only if the salary certificate is attached to the application
