RIYADH — Vehicle ownership can be transferred between family members through the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform Absher. This is one among the eight Absher electronic services of the Public Security launched by Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Bassami, director of Public Security, at the Ministry of Interior Employees Club in Riyadh on Monday.

The launching ceremony was held under the patronage of Minister of Interior Prince Abdul Aziz bin Saud bin Naif, and in the presence of National Information Center Director Dr. Esam Alwagait.

The newly launched Public Security services included the customs card rental service; the vehicle ownership transfer service between family members; the license plate replacement service for companies; the issuance of vehicle license from showrooms; the motorbike ownership transfer service; the motorbike license issuance service; the upgraded Vehicle Registration License renewal service; and the advanced driving license renewal service.

The launch of these services comes as an extension of the Ministry of Interior’s efforts to achieve digital transformation, and a continuation of Public Security’s efforts to automate its services, in a way contributing to provide electronic services and digital solutions to citizens, residents, and visitors so as to save time and effort. This also enables beneficiaries to complete procedures smoothly and conveniently, through strategic partnerships with the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SDAYA) and the National Information Center.
