KUWAIT CITY: The Ministry of Interior has denied the rumors circulating on social media about the exemption of residency-law violators from paying fines, reports Al- Anba daily.

The ministry’s Public Relations and Security Media Department insisted that this news is baseless and lacks credibility, stressing that the ministry launches awareness campaign prior to the implementation of any such decision.

It urged the media and social media to ascertain the accuracy of news before publishing them, affirming that all doors are open to answer any question or query concerning the security issue.
