KUWAIT CITY - The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the Department of Forgery and Counterfeiting are working to identify unknown persons who are believed to be pushing forged Kuwaiti currency in the market in 10 dinars denomination.

In the meantime, a security source has called on citizens and residents to double check the bank notes particularly while shopping at grocery stores and shopping malls, reports Al-Anba daily. It is impossible for banks to accept or feed such currencies in the ATM machines because they are using advanced technology to detect counterfeit money.

A Kuwaiti who was a victim of counterfeit 10 dinars bills says it is very difficult to recognize the money because the currency looks genuine and can be discovered only by close scrutiny
