Tunisia - A partnership agreement aiming at the integration and employability of young people and targeting 2,000 beneficiaries was signed Tuesday by Minister of Employment and Vocational Training Nasreddine Nsibi, the Swiss Secretariat of State for the Economy, represented by the Swiss Embassy in Tunisia, and the Education Fund.

The agreement will be implemented until 2017 through the signing of contracts according to appropriate funding mechanisms, in addition to the establishment of a support programme for the employment sector as part of strengthening international cooperation in employment, training and vocational integration, according to a statement from the Ministry of Employment.

The Minister said the agreement is part of the opening of the Ministry on the successful experiences in the treatment of employment and vocational training.

"This agreement adopts an approach based on financing of programmes according to the assigned objectives, monitoring and evaluation," he said.

For his part, the Swiss ambassador praised the level of Tunisian-Swiss cooperation in the field of employment and vocational training, expressing his country's readiness to support the Tunisian government's programmes in this field.
