Various goods have been released from ports in Egypt at a total value of $1.5 billion during the period from January 1st to 10th, the Egyptian Cabinet revealed in a statement on January 11th.

The goods have been released through different systems, including the advance cargo information (ACI) system, the Cabinet Spokesperson Nader Saad stated.

As per a report presented to Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, the released goods included over $613 million worth of industrial cargo.

According to the ACI system, the value of the released corn cargoes during the period from January 1st to 10th stood at more than $40.7 million, while the released soybean cargoes amounted to around $28 million.

Meanwhile, the chemical pharmaceuticals goods reached $56 million, the report highlighted.

In December 2022, nearly $7 billion worth of goods were released at ports, bringing the total value of released loads since December 1st to-date to $8.5 billion.
