Arab Finance: Traffic at airports operated by the Egyptian Airport Company (EAC) continued to deliver a strong performance since the beginning of 2026 despite the US-Israel war with Iran and its impact on aviation, according to a statement.

During the period from March 1st to March 29th, the number of passengers increased by 7.8% year-on-year (YoY) to 2.2 million.

Meanwhile, the total number of passengers reached around 4.6 million during January and February, marking an annual growth of 15% from 4 million passengers.

At the beginning of the regional tension, EgyptAir suspended its flights from Cairo to 13 Middle Eastern cities until further notice.

On March 9th, the airline gradually resumed selected flights to the UAE.

The EAC, a holding company affiliated with the Ministry of Civil Aviation, manages 22 airports across Egypt.
