AMMAN — The Jordanian Seismological Observatory (JSO) on Monday recorded an earthquake in Madaba’s Thiban that measured 3.5 on the Richter scale.

The JSO said that the earthquake was recorded at 3:09am at a depth of seven kilometres, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The observatory said that the tremor is classified as a minor earthquake, which can be felt by nearby residents.
