Rabat, 6th July 2012 (WAM) -- The UAE has presided over the third meeting of technical committee for updating Geological and Mineral Map of the Arab World (scale 1:2.500.000) which concluded here today at the head office of the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organisation (AIDMO).
Khaled Al Hosani, geologist, UAE Ministry of Energy, chaired the three-day meeting. The UAE experts delivered a presentation on implementation of the geological and geophysical surveys of the United Arab Emirates, over the last ten years, to create digital geological map on various scales, conduct detailed studies on hard rock and limestone mineral resources and establish GIS-based digital data base.Copyright Emirates News Agency (WAM) 2012.
