Tunisa: Ten new municipalities join tourist municipal zones list

The municipal zones will thus be eligible for support from the fund for the protection of tourist areas

Tunisia - Ten new municipalities have joined the list of tourist municipal zones, bringing the total number to 57.

Published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Tunisia No.13 of February 7, 2023, these municipalites are Beni Mtir, Bekalta, Enfidha, Ghomrassen, Mahres, Kalâat Snan, Béni Khédeche, Sned, Ezzarat and Dkhilet Toujane. They will thus be eligible for support from the fund for the protection of tourist areas.

According to the State 2023 budget report, the government has dedicated a budget of TND 10 million to the fund for the protection of tourist areas, whose main prerogative is to financially support municipal tourist areas, to help them carry out environmental protection services, cleaning services, etc.
