MUSCAT: The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates – Madayn, in cooperation with Oman Liquefied Natural Gas (Oman LNG), is all set to launch Industrial Innovation Programme in October. The programme comes in line with Oman LNG’s project of financing business incubator project at Sur Industrial City under the supervision of Madayn Industrial Innovation Academy.

Presenting an ideal platform for the innovators and entrepreneurs in South Al Sharqiyah governorate, the programme aims at qualifying Omani industrial innovation specialists through a series of training courses to be delivered by innovation experts. The programme will feature a variety of topics including introduction to innovation; innovation in food and beverage industry; transforming innovative food products into viable models; food safety and food systems; branding; marketing of innovative products; and development of initial innovative models of food products.

The programme, which will take place in October in Sur Industrial City, targets entrepreneurs and innovators in South Al Sharqiyah in food and beverage industry, as well as owners of household food products, and graduates of food science and nutrition, sales and marketing, and business fields in the governorate.

By end of the programme, the participants will be awarded certification by Madayn Industrial Innovation Academy, Innovation Certification Level 1 by Global Innovation Management Institute in the United States, certification by the World Packaging Organisation, and certification by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals. Moreover, top six participants will be selected for their food products to be developed for commercial production with the support of Oman LNG and under the supervision of Madayn Industrial Innovation Academy.
