Doha: Doha Bank announced the name of the winner of its first e-remittance draw which was held recently.
Emad Ibrahim Abdel Monem is the winner of the draw. R Seetharaman, Dy CEO of Doha Bank and Laxman Weerasooriya, Country Manager of SriLankan Airlines, jointly handed over the air ticket sponsored by SriLankan Airlines to the winner at a function held at Corporate Head office of Doha Bank.
Doha Bank commenced a three months e-remittance promotion in association with SriLankan Airlines during the first week of November. The bank's account holders as well as walk in customers who avail DBank remit (e-remittance) facility are eligible for the draw. Each e-remittance in a month provides one chance to enter in to the draw.
DBank Remit is an efficient and cost effective electronic fund transfer arm of Doha Bank and unique in the market, claimed a press release issued by the bank.
Doha Bank has e-remittance arrangements to India, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Lebanon, Nepal, Pakistan, Jordan,Palestine, Egypt, Bangladesh and Indonesia.
"This promotion is a unique opportunity to our customers to send money with value added features Seetharaman said. Ganesan Ramakrishnan, Executive Manager, international Banking, Aboobacker V P Manager, Foreign Remittances were also present on the occasion.
