Islamabad – General Manager Marketing of Pakistan’s renowned cinema chain says they would love to experiment with Iranian movies as movies are best way of cultural exchange.

Talking to IRNA, Mohsin Yaseen of 'Cinepax Cinemas' said that currently Pakistani cinema industry revival is in initial stage and needs content from around the world.

“We have only 85 screens available for 200 million plus population, so in our case all the content from around the world, specially from those countries with cultural commonalities, is necessary to blossom our industry and films, as this will help make better our own content,” he said.

“We would like to request Iranian cultural departments specially Iranian cultural centers in Pakistan if they can help us under the exchange of cultures program and help us reach producers of Iranian movies to release their products in Pakistan,” he said.

Mohsin Yasin said, 'Pakistan cinemas have announced voluntarily suspension of Indian films in wake of recent events and tensions between Pakistan and India.

He said as Pakistani films are not available in required quantity, we are dependent on foreign content for the growth of both our cinema and film industry.
