Sharjah: The General Department of Transport and Rescue at Dubai Police and the Emirates Auction, the leading company in the field of the management and organization of public and online auctions in the Middle East have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), under which the latter shall provide assistance to on-road broken-down vehicles.

The step comes as part of the joint endeavors of both entities to assist road users and enhance traffic safety and achieve a happier society which is among the most important objectives and directions of the UAE government.

The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the General Department of Transport and Rescue by HE Brigadier General Dr. Mohammed Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al Razouqi, Director of the General Department of Transport and Rescue at Dubai Police, and HE Omar Matar Al Mannaei, Executive Director of Emirates Auction, in the presence of a number of directors and officials from both sides.

According to the MoU, the two parties agreed to develop joint activities in areas of common interest, including providing assistance by the Emirates Auction to on-road broken-down vehicles (i.e., tire replacement, refueling, vehicle towing).

HE Brigadier General Dr. Mohamed Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al Razoqi lauded the agreement the and the cooperation with Emirates Auction, stressing that that the signing of this MoU comes as part of the vision of the wise leadership and the strategic directions of the UAE that always calls for enhancing cooperation coordination among various local government and private agencies, with the aim of harnessing the latest capabilities to provide the best services to the public according to the highest international standards.

He added that pushed the Dubai Police to ink this agreement with Emirates Auction to provide roadside assistance services for broken-down vehicles, thanks to the company’s pioneering expertise and advanced capabilities that will enable the department to be permanently prepared to deal with all emergencies.

Al Razoqi pointed to Dubai Police’s firm commitment to providing assistance to the needy and rescuing them as soon as possible.

We are proud of our long-established partnership with Dubai Police, which reflects their confidence in the services we provide, said Omar Matar Al Mannaei, stressing that Emirates Auction will do its utmost to implement the requirements of the MoU in an optimal way that meets the aspirations of Dubai Police and brings happiness to society.

He pointed out that the company will provide roadside assistance on all roads in the Emirate of Dubai through a fleet of vehicles, with the application of the highest standards of occupational health, safety, and security. The vehicles are manned by a qualified and trained technical and administrative staff supported by the latest devices, according to the highest local and international practices.

We will be harnessing all of our expertise and potentials to develop the joint operations with the General Department of Transport and Rescue at Dubai Police to the highest levels, Al Mannei underlined. He added that specific smart electronic services will be developed to ensure expeditious assistance to road users. This contributes to enhancing the traffic safety system on the internal and external roads of the Emirate of Dubai.
