Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Dubai headquartered WorkSpace Commerce (WSC), a forward-thinking property investment firm focused on providing coworking spaces worldwide, has begun to explore opportunities on how technology and innovation can positively impact the coworking and shared office space sector. The group has been closely observing developments within the latest 3D printing technology gaining ground here in Dubai, as well as other innovative break-throughs worldwide with an aim to incorporate technology and innovation to play a key role in shaping WSC’s products and services moving forward.

WSC recently highlighted the significance of maintaining lifestyle-driven and collaborative working environments, propelled by the latest technological developments. These factors include the likes of utilising cutting-edge technologies such as “3D printing” to build offices that are “open spaced” to become more collaborative and efficient in bringing together entrepreneurs whilst saving space. To support this, more and more global organisations are realising the great shift from the traditional “work-focused” to “lifestyle-driven” offices.

Coworking has now evolved and requires more than just offering a space to work in; it demands a whole new concept of “lifestyle”. That means offering employees complimentary office amenities such as all-day coffee, super-fast Wi-Fi, cosy communal areas and kitchen facilities are no longer considered perks, but rather the standard nowadays.

However, more recently, we are witnessing the rise of new technology’s integration into the working spaces of leading global and local organisations such as Google and Dubai Future Foundation to include sleeping pods, treadmill desks and even 3D printed interiors into the working environment.

Panny Lawrence, founder and CEO of WorkSpace Commerce, comments, “WorkSpace Commerce is a forward-thinking property developer that is at the forefront of commercial property innovation, always focused on delivering value to our audiences.  We are always in touch with the needs of an evolving workforce, on workplace trends and the all-important work-life balance. WSC’s offerings are customised to suit the needs of the local community; be it a highly creative scene, or one rooted in technology, as we aim to positively impact the lives of our members and the communities we operate in. We are constantly on the look-out for new and pioneering technologies and innovation and identifying synergies how they can be localized or adapted to improve our products and services.  Closer to our home base here in Dubai, we are beginning to observe 3D printing technology closely to see what other opportunities can be drawn from this.”

By 2020, over 200,000 new businesses are expected to be established in Dubai which raises a more crucial question on the sustainability of the Emirate’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.  One intelligent solution, according to commercial property and shared office space expert WSC, is adopting “coworking office” environments that are aligned with the latest technological innovations.

Dubai’s latest project titled “3D Printing Strategy” conceptualised by the Dubai Future Foundation, could prove to be a very good case study. In 2016, the world’s first “fully functional” office was created in Dubai – which was entirely built by warehouse sized printers glazing down walls of offices within hours. This  printed office was designed with eco-friendly criteria that facilitated open spaces for maximum mobility and large glass windows for maximum sun exposure.

Relatively, WSC offers its strong client base “living room” stylised offices where employees can relax, get personal and make new friends or business partners by connecting with others. It always focuses on providing spaces that are on-trend and open planned, designed to be transformable to suit workshops, lectures, brainstorming and breakout sessions.

The WSC team has a combined 50 years plus of experience in coworking, property, shared office management, and a track record in building successful start-ups. With its own in-house design and construction team, project managers and a global sales network, WSC is on track to expand to 30 new buildings around the world in the next five to seven years.
