Riyadh: Hala Yalla, Saudi Arabia’s Technology startup, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Citizen Experience and Digital Transformation categories at the prestigious Gulf Customer Experience Awards.

The announcement is part of Hala Yalla’s ongoing vision to become the ultimate technology company that allows people in Saudi Arabia to connect with a wide range of events and activities.

The nominations represent recognition of the work done by Hala Yalla on the innovative Sports for All Federation (SFA) app. Tasked with the aim of encouraging more residents in the Kingdom to take up physical activity and sports, the SFA app provides an interconnected digital ecosystem that promotes fitness and wellbeing.

The SFA app provides a digital ecosystem and platform that supports businesses as well as users. It enables the SFA to promote campaigns, provide education and foster a growing community of physically active residents. This in turn will help SFA to reach its Saudi Vision 2030 goal of getting 40% of the kingdom’s population to take part in physical activity at least once per week.

“At Hala Yalla, we are proud to be nominated in the Citizen Experience and Digital Transformation categories at the Gulf Customer Experience Awards. It highlights the tremendous progress we have made not only in developing an exciting and inclusive platform for users across the Kingdom but also an innovative customer experience using Saudi technology. The Gulf Customer Experience Awards benchmark customer experience offerings across the industry and recognize Hala Yalla’s work ethic, dedication, and unique focus within the Saudi market. This recognition will also act as a catalyst for us to push higher to make Hala Yalla, Saudi Arabia’s ultimate technology company,” says Yousef Shanti, one of Hala Yalla’s Co-founders

Hala Yalla is also among the finalists in the Digital Transformation category, which includes Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Gulf Customer Experience, and SAS Middle East.

The tech company has also been nominated in the Citizen Experience category along with Tamkeen Labour Fund and Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs.

The Gulf Customer Experience Awards are the region’s premier ceremony to celebrate customer experience excellence with the winners announced during a live event in Dubai on 15 and 16 February.

“We are thrilled to see our efforts recognized on such a respected platform and we will continue to strive and work hard to make Hala Yalla, the most advanced Saudi technology company in the region,” added Yousef.

Hala Yalla is the Kingdom’s first Super App for Sports, Entertainment, Tourism, and Culture that allows people to discover new experiences, organize events, and more. The Super App aligns with Vision 2030 goals of encouraging a healthier, more active lifestyle among residents in the Kingdom.
