The Information Technology Authority (ITA) is continuing its promotion campaign for the online donation through ( www.donate.om ) to collect donations electronically throughout the Holy month of Ramadan, through which it has achieved many goals that serve a number of groups in needs supported by 27 charitable organizations under the portal.

The portal was established with the aim of leveraging information technology to serve the Omani charitable organizations in collecting donations with a unified single website without the need to visit each organization separately. The portal facilitates the process of donation in various regions of the Sultanate around the clock and enables donators to complete donation within seconds online to ensure that the amount donated to the concerned charity organization. The portal also provides the widest possible coverage of geographical area in the Sultanate of Oman to contribute to the delivery of donations to local charities using modern technologies as an electronic payment gateway.

The portal allows donors to choose the type of donation whether it is a general donation or Eid clothing, a donation to mosques, orphan care, international relief, assistance to Syria, social welfare and other categories.

The holy month of Ramadan has been an opportunity to collect as many donations as possible. Since the beginning of the promotional campaign at the beginning of Ramadan, more than OMR150,300 have been collected to date, and the number of donors has reached about 10,000. In addition, the total donations made through the portal to date amounted to more than three million seven hundred thousand riyals (3,749,727.19), and the number of donors has reached about 150 thousand donors since the establishment of the portal.

The portal offers  annual, monthly and daily statistics on donations collected and provides statistics on the total donations made to each charitable organization.

Hence, the ITA is grateful to everyone who participated and made a donation through the portal either as individuals or organizations. It invites everyone to use and donate via the Donations Portal Charitable Organizations that collects donations in an easy and secure way and saving time, effort and money.
