Dubai, UAE: Nielsen, a global measurement and data analytics company, has appointed Andrey Dvoychenkov as the new Managing Director for Arabian Peninsula and Pakistan, based in Dubai, UAE. Andrey succeeds Arslan Ashraf, who takes up a new role as Nielsen’s Consumer Insights Leader for Southeast Asia, China, North Asia and Pacific, based in Kuala Lumpur.

Andrey brings with him 15 years of leadership experience and knowledge of the market research industry. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in the faculty of economics, Andrey joined Nielsen in Russia to take on a client servicing role in the retail measurement business. Since then, he has held a number of roles with increasing leadership capacities and responsibilities for significant client relationships across multiple geographies including leading the analytics team across Russia and North Eastern Europe and as a key client global insights leader based in the UK in 2012. Andrey then moved to Serbia in 2014 to take on his most recent role as Managing Director Adriatic Region for Nielsen’s Watch and Buy businesses.

As the Managing Director for Arabian Peninsula and Pakistan, Andrey will play a key role in meeting the company's aggressive growth goals as well as developing and implementing Nielsen's business strategy in continuously building on the organization's outstanding reputation for service and delivery to clients while maintaining its financial health and operational efficiency.

“Under Andrey’s leadership, we will continue to drive an integrated client proposition, leveraging the organization’s capabilities. His track record, strong leadership skills and in-depth knowledge of the business to benchmark across developed and developing markets put him in an excellent position to lead our teams in uncovering new opportunities for our clients and the business,” said Nick Papagregoriou, President of Nielsen Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa and Middle East. “This change in leadership is part of Nielsen’s Talent Movement initiative; as a global company, we felt we had the opportunity to leverage on the differences in experience, cultures, and uniqueness of our associates across the markets to deliver impactful outcomes for their fellow associates, our clients, partners and communities.

Commenting on his appointment, Andrey Dvoychenkov said, “I’m excited by this opportunity to lead our teams in the Arabian Peninsula & Pakistan markets as we embark on a new chapter in continuing our efforts to help our clients grow their businesses. We have an outstanding team of highly committed people, who I believe are well placed to deliver our future success.”
