Zain KSA expands its 5G coverage to 35 Saudi cities

Zain KSA has announced adding 5 more Saudi cities to its 5G service network map, bringing the total number of covered cities to 35. With this expansion, each of Duwadimi, Hawtat Bani Tamim, Hayathim, Muzahimiyah, Quwayiyah now enjoy quality and rapid-speed digital services that support the Kingdom’s digital transformation process and enrich the quality of life for residents and citizens in those areas.

Commending this step, Chief Technology Officer at Zain KSA Eng. Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Mufadda stated: “Stemming from Zain KSA’s dedication to present world-class technologies, we continue to execute an ambitious plan to offer 5G network services to all the Kingdom’s cities in what will create a paradigm shift in the telecommunications infrastructure and ultimately augment all economic, social, and technological fronts in cities and the Kingdom as a whole.”

Al Mufadda added: “We are investing heavily towards advancing Saudi Arabia’s telecom sector to surpass commercial targets to national ones, as we strive to fulfil the aspirations of our astute leadership in achieving a comprehensive digital transformation and a diversified economy as per Saudi Vision 2030. We also seek to enhance the sustainability capabilities of various sectors - a priority further highlighted by the new norm imposed by the COVID-19 outbreak.”

Through its development efforts, Zain KSA reiterates its active role in supporting innovation and competitiveness by  developing various fields, from individual capabilities, to product and service sectors, and the overall economy.  Its dedication to present 5G services to all the Kingdom’s cities forms the backbone to support the new status quo resulting from COVID-19 in aims to position Saudi Arabia as a prime destination for investors and remarkable talents from all over the world.

Notably, as a testament to the outstanding success of its new operational strategy, Zain KSA has recently received the “fastest fixed internet” award in Saudi Arabia from Ookla, the owner of world-renowned “SpeedTest” the leader in internet testing and analysis worldwide.
