Amman – Jordan International Marketing Committee, one of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum (TAGKF) committees, held a meeting in which a chair of the Committee was elected and the strategic and action plan for internationally marketing Jordan were outlined.

Eng. Mohammad Nakhaleh, Head of the Knowledge-Based Jordan Program stated that the Jordan International Marketing Committee is one of the 34 committees of TAG-KF which aim to achieve HE Dr. Talal Abu-Gazaleh's vision of transforming Jordan into a knowledge-based society with a national product reaching 200 billion dollars in 2040.

He noted that local, regional, and international studies suggest that national challenges can only be confronted through this digital transformation, and without it, we would keep on addressing economic, social, and educational problems, but we will never reach medium and long terms solutions.

He added that to achieve Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh's vision, the Committees of TAG-KF will prepare recommendations and solutions for the consideration of the decision-makers in the Kingdom.

The attendees agreed that marketing Jordan internationally would increase the income, strengthen the situation of Jordan on the global map, and enhance the marketing of the Jordanian expertise abroad.

They also agreed that the problem in marketing is not about developing strategies and plans; it is about their implementation.

Therefore, the Committee stated that Jordan needs to carry out modern marketing approaches using latest ICT tools instead of traditional and outdated methods.

Moreover, members of the Committee will be suggesting initiatives that align with the objectives of the Committee.

The membership of the committee includes Mr. Moussa Al-Hssein of the Jordan Hashemite Fund, Mr. Bassam Al-Shayeb, Mr. Khaled Al-Shayeb, and Mr. Bassam Joudeh of the Crossing Light Foundation, Eng. Hadeel M. Al-Omari of the Jordan Engineers Association, Dr. Afaf Abu-Riz of Philadelphia University, Dr. Ahmad Al-Sharaya'a, Dr. Areej Yassen of Yarmouk University, Mr. Wameed Madi and Mr. Yehia Rateb Al-Alami.

TAG-KF is a non-for-profit experience organization, funded by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Foundation, and represents a model of community service where Jordanian citizens volunteer their time and efforts to serve this beloved country under the Hashemite leadership which we are loyal to and proud of.
