Effective November 2021, RAK Airport and RAKTA have joined hands to provide high-quality services to visitors of UAE to and from RAK Airport by launching a bus service for connecting passengers to RAK city and other emirates.

Ras Al Khaimah International Airport (RAK Airport) has announced the start of operations of the bus transportation service from RAK Airport to the following destinations according to the weekly flight schedule:

1- The Emirate of Dubai – Union bus station

2- The Emirate of Sharjah - Muwailih Bus Station

3- The Emirate of Ajman - The main bus station, Mohammed bin Zayed Street

4- The Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah - The bus station in Al Nakheel area (city center)

Chairman, Department of Civil Aviation, Ras Al Khaimah, His Excellency Sheikh Engr. Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi said: “We are continuously adding value to our services and we want to make sure that they are easily accessible and affordable for people to commute to & from the airport. We are always working towards providing better services and facilities, which have attracted many regional carriers and tour operators.”

General Manager of RAK Transport Authority, Engr. Esmaeel Hassan AlBlooshi said: “It is our vision and strategic goal to develop integrated transport systems and smart services to achieve RAK Government Vision 2030. The bus service will provide convenience, affordability, comfort and ease as you travel onward to your destination. We will double the capacity of the buses when we see the demand grow higher but for now, I think we are off to a great start. This service has been developed to connect both local and international passengers to their desired destinations and improve the passenger experience in the country.”

Adding on, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, Mr. Atanasios Titonis commented: “One of our key targets is to improve upon the facilities that airport has to offer to bring passenger satisfaction levels really high. This will undoubtedly contribute towards easier accessibility to our passengers and that’s what we aim for. Also, this will be the base for bringing more airlines and more flights to increase connectivity at the airport.”
