Muscat – Bank Nizwa, Takaful Oman and the TANMIA-managed Al Kawthar Islamic Fund, kicked-off their joint Islamic Finance Knowledge Program in Wilayat of Rustaq under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Hilal Al Hajri, Governor of South Al Batinah. The event was attended by government officials including Walis and members of the Municipal Council as well as members of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry in addition to public figures interested to learn about the benefits of Islamic banking, investment, and insurance.

Audiences were provided with an in-depth understanding of the unique investment vehicles, innovative instruments, and insurance coverage provided by Islamic finance service providers. A wide variety of topics were covered by the program’s team of specialists, which leveraged the expertise of each participating organization to offer attendees a comprehensive overview throughout the day-long event. The program agenda also included an interactive panel discussion on Islamic Finances led by Ahmed Al Houti, Director of Al Jazeera Office in Oman, the economist Ahmed Kashob and Sheikh Waleed bin Sulaiman Al Qari, Member of the Shari'a Supervisory Board at Takaful Oman.

The program will continue to the North Al Batinah governorate, before heading to South A’Sharqiyah, A’ Dakhiliyah, A’Dhahirah, Al Buraymi, North A'Sharqiyah, and Dhofar. A team of experts from Bank Nizwa, Takaful Oman and the TANMIA-managed Al Kawthar Islamic Fund will be on hand throughout to offer attendees essential advice on how to lead financially secure lifestyles through the advantages delivered by Islamic finance.
