KYIV- Ukraine is likely to harvest 80.6 million tonnes of grain in 2021, a record quantity that will allow the export of 60.68 million tonnes, the preliminary ministry's data showed on Monday.

The data showed the harvest was expected to include 32 million tonnes of wheat and 37.1 million tonnes of corn. The country could export 23.8 million tonnes of wheat and 30.87 million tonnes of corn in the 2021/22 season, the ministry said.

The ministry said the share of milling wheat in the wheat harvest could reach 60% and the total wheat export volume could include 14.2 million tonnes of milling wheat and 9.6 million tonnes of feed wheat in 2021/22.

It also said Ukraine may harvest 9.3 million tonnes of barley and the barley export could be at 5.2 million tonnes this season.

The ministry said a total of 7.64 million tonnes of various grains were exported from Ukraine so far in the 2021/22 July-June season and the volume included 3.8 million tonnes of wheat, 2.5 million tonnes of barley and 1.25 million tonnes of corn.

Ukraine exported 44.7 million tonnes of grain in the 2020/21 season. That included 23.1 million tonnes of corn, 16.6 million tonnes of wheat and 4.2 million tonnes of barley.
