HAMBURG - The lowest price in the purchase of 295,000 tonnes of hard wheat in a tender on Monday by Saudi Arabia's main state wheat buying agency the Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO) was $268.89 a tonne c&f, SAGO said.

Wheat origins offered were the European Union, Black Sea region, North America, South America and Australia with the seller having the option of selecting the origin supplied, SAGO governor Ahmad Al-Fares said in a statement.  

These purchases in dollars a tonne c&f were made with arrival period in brackets and the trading house making the sale: Jeddah port: 60,000 tonnes from Casillo at $269.49 C&F (June 10-20) 60,000 tonnes from Casillo at $269.69 C&F (June 20-30) Yanbu port: 60,000 tonnes from Casillo at $271.68 C&F (June 1-10) 60,000 tonnes from Casillo at $268.89 C&F (June 20-30)

Jizan port: 55,000 tonnes wheat from Casillo at $275.89 C&F (May 20-30)
