CAIRO- Egypt's state grains buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), received on Thursday a lowest offer of $634.88 a tonne for 30,000 tonnes of soyoil in an international purchase tender for vegetable oils, traders said.

GASC received a lowest offer of $681.00 a tonne for 12,000 tonnes of sunflower oil, traders added.

The buyer said on Tuesday it was seeking quantities of at least 30,000 tonnes of soyoil and 10,000 tonnes of sunflower oil for arrival in two delivery periods, the first from May 20 to June 10 and the second from June 15 to July 5.

Traders gave the following breakdown of prices offered in dollars per tonne on a cost and freight (C&F) basis:

* ADM: 12,000 tonnes of sunflower oil at $681.00 for the first or second arrival period and/or 30,000 tonnes of soyoil at $643.00 for the first or second arrival period

* Hakan: 11,000 tonnes of sunflower oil at $698.11 and 30,000 tonnes of soyoil at $634.88 for the first arrival period and/or 11,000 tonnes of sunflower oil at $704.11 and 30,000 tonnes of soyoil at $634.88 for the second arrival period

* Glencore: 30,000 tonnes of sunflower oil at $693.00 for the first arrival period and/or 30,000 tonnes of sunflower oil at $698.00 for the second arrival period

* Aston: 10,500 tonnes of sunflower oil or 16,000 tonnes of sunflower oil at $690.00 for the second arrival period

No purchase has yet been made and tender results are expected later on Thursday.
