HAMBURG  - Jordan's state grain buyer has issued another international tender to purchase 120,000 tonnes of animal feed barley to be sourced from optional origins, European traders said on Thursday.

The tender deadline is July 24.

Jordan has struggled to purchase wheat and barley in tenders in past months after terms on specifications and payment were introduced which reduced tender participation by international trading houses GRA/TEND

Jordan made no purchase in its previous tender to buy 120,000 tonnes of barley on Tuesday when only three trading houses took part

Jordan also made no purchases in its previous tenders for barley on July 11, July 4, June 26 and June 12.

The new tender seeks barley for shipment in a range of possible combinations in 50,000 tonne consignments between Oct. 1 and Nov. 30.

Jordan has also issued a separate tender for 120,000 tonnes of wheat closing on Thursday, July 19.
