Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, the newest national airline of UAE, will start its passenger services to Tel Aviv on April 18.

The carrier will fly between the UAE capital and Tel Aviv three times per week and move to daily flights in May.

The announcement comes after Israel has been added to Abu Dhabi’s “green list” of countries from which air passengers can travel into the UAE without undergoing strict COVID-19 requirements.

“In light of the recently eased restrictions, I’m delighted to announce the date of the first Wizz flight from Abu Dhabi to Tel Aviv later this month,” said Kees Van Schaick, managing director of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi.

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, a joint venture between Wizz Air and Abu Dhabi state holding company ADQ, started its operations in January.

The carrier had earlier unveiled its network that includes Athens, Thessaloniki, Alexandria, Kutaisi, Yerevan, Larnaca and Odesa.
