ArabFinance: Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population announced 669 additional COVID-19 infections on January 25th, increasing the tally to 162,486 until press time.

The ministry reported 53 more fatalities, bringing the death toll to 9,012.

A total of 127,001 people have recovered from the virus, after 504 new patients were discharged from quarantine hospitals, according to the statement.

Egypt came in the 47th place on Bloombergs COVID-19 Resilience ranking, after falling 23 positions in January. The country ranked the 24th in December 2020.
