ArabFinance: Egypt reported 1,090 new coronavirus cases on May 5th, increasing the total to 231,803 since the pandemic started in February 2020.

The total death toll reached 13,591, after registering 60 new deaths.

The country has recorded 173,314 in total recoveries after 432 new patients have been discharged from quarantine hospitals, the health ministry said.

Infection cases have been climbing steadily in the past three months.
