Dammam — The recruitment of Indonesian domestic workers will resume within two months (Q1 2019), according to Minister of Labor and Social Development Ahmed Al-Rajhi.

He said the ministry agreed with the Indonesian authorities on the majority of points, and signed an agreement to this effect in Indonesia last October.

On the complaints of national recruitment offices regarding difficult procedures imposed by the Philippine authorities on their domestic workers, Al-Rajhi said the ministry agreed with the Philippine side a week ago during a visit to Manila to solve all problems.

The minister said that Saudi Arabia recruits domestic workers from more than 20 countries other than Indonesia and the Philippines. These countries include India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
