Beauty salons have been allowed to offer additional services within certain conditions.
The Health Ministry said yesterday that salons can now offer services such as eyebrow plucking, waxing and nail services under strict guidelines.
Salons can also start offering bleaching for eyebrows using single use brushes, while the same applies to keratin treatment for hair. The use of hairdryers is still not allowed although salons can use straighteners and curlers for styling hair. As for nail services, salons must wash the hands and feet with warm water for 20 seconds and use a sanitiser with an alcohol concentration of no less than 70 per cent.
