UAE –  Inflation rate in the UAE fell to 2.1% year-on-year in April, marking a four-month low, according to data by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority.

The UAE Consumer Price Index (CPI) recorded 108.82 points in April, compared to 111.15 points in the same month a year earlier, data showed.

The prices of the housing, water, gas services segment declined 5.08% year-on-year in April, while the ready-made clothing and footwear segment prices fell 4.99%.

Meanwhile, prices of the transport services dipped by 2.19% and the prices of consumer goods dropped 1.93%.

The food and beverage segment prices decreased by 1.36% last April, while the healthcare services’ prices slipped 0.20%.
