The Dubai Airshow will return to Dubai World Central (DWC) in November to connect aerospace professionals across the industry.

About 1,300 exhibitors are expected to participate in the Dubai-based event between November 17 and 21, 2019 to launch and exhibit their latest innovations.

The previous edition of the Dubai Airshow drew 79,380 trade visitors from around the world, 1,200 exhibitors from 63 countries, and an order book in excess of $113.8 billion.

What to expect in 2019

In this edition, the airshow organisers expect 87,000 attendees to fly in from across the globe and view up to 165 aircraft on the static park, according to the Dubai Airshow website.

While several exhibitors such as S&K Technologies from the USA and Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence from Italy, will be exhibiting at the event for the first time,  some of the industry giants that will be returning to demonstrate their own advances in technologies across the entire aerospace industry, include Rolls Royce, Boeing and Lockheed Martin.

Rolls Royce plan to use their presence at the Dubai Airshow to highlight progress toward its IntelligentEngine vision, which, according to John Kelly, SVP Middle East, Africa & Central Asia, “Is moving at pace toward a future where our engines are increasingly connected, contextually aware and comprehending, and as a result, more intelligent.”

Bernard Dunn, President of Boeing Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, says, “The Dubai Airshow is a fantastic platform for us and others in the industry to connect with our customers and showcase the latest technologies, platforms and services.”

Showcasing emerging technologies

Global Air Traffic Management (GATM) taking place within the Dubai Airshow, will present a discussion on air traffic control in the UAE, the GCC and globally.

“Emerging technologies are altering the way in which we approach issues in air traffic management,” states Attila Simon, Director of Business Development at HungaroControl. John McKenzie, Regional Director - MENA, Airways New Zealand.

Meanwhile, the airshow will also focus on the space sector, with an exhibition area and two dedicated conferences produced in collaboration with the UAE Space Agency: Women in Space and Tech Talks.

The third instalment of Cargo Connect will return to the Dubai Airshow bringing together the cargo and logistics supply chain sector to discuss the latest trends and transportation solutions.
