ArabFinance: Egypt will finance industrial zones across the country with EGP 5 billion during fiscal year 2020/2021, the Minister of Planning Hala elSaid announced.

The minister added that 13 industrial complex will benefit from this funding. This allotment is earmarked for linking utilities to the zones.

ElSaid noted that these governorates include Assiut, Alexandria, Luxor, Beheira, Gharbia, Red Sea, and Fayoum.

The financing will also cover industrial zones in Minya, Beni Suef, Sohag, and Aswan.

It is noteworthy that elSaid expected Egypt’s economic growth to slow to 1% in the last three months of fiscal year 2019/2020.
