Abu Dhabi City Municipality – The Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM) is undertaking a series of internal training workshops in the field of management and maintenance of infrastructural assets. The event will enable benefiting from the experiences of the Municipalities experts and engineers and sharing them amongst engineers of asset management and infrastructure maintenance at the three municipalities (Abu Dhabi City Municipality, Al Ain City Municipality, and Al Dhafrah Municipality).

The step is in line with the Municipalities keenness to implement the strategic plans built on Abu Dhabi Vision aimed at improving the management infrastructure assets and qualifying human resources in planning and operational jobs in the municipalities of the Emirate.

The workshops also seek to enhance the knowledge and awareness of engineers and staffs about the importance of maintaining the infrastructural assets in which the government had invested over several decades. It focused on how to achieve optimal benefits from these assets by upgrading the management of infrastructure and the operational efficiency of assets to improve the services and the urban appearance. Such a step will contribute to achieving a decent living for citizens and residents, besides aligning the standard of living with the world’s best standards.

The training workshops reflect the keenness of the municipal system of Abu Dhabi to benefit from the latest programmes and ideas in the management of municipal assets and at the same time furnish the concerned parties with the expertise that merit them to comply with the best practices and level of services.

During these workshops, the Municipality stressed the importance of implementing the highest standards at the internal management sectors at the Municipality as well as amongst government bodies of relevance to the effective asset management. Such compliance will enhance public awareness and ensure the implementation of the best practices and policies aimed at delivering the highest service standards and investing the municipal assets in line with the values of sustainability.

The Municipal Infrastructure and Assets Sector has previously held a series of workshops in the field covering several topics such as an introduction to assets management, listing and evaluating assets in support of asset management, service level, planning and improvement of assets management program, evaluation of assets, and the performance of assets.
