Amman, Jordan – As it heads into the second half of the year, talabat Jordan—the region’s leading food delivery and Q-commerce platform—is celebrating a wealth of achievements from the first six months of 2021, including continued business growth, geographic expansion, and an enhanced commitment to giving back to the local, regional, and international community.

Building on Business Success: Despite the challenges of the year to date and the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, talabat Jordan has witnessed dramatic business growth, both in terms of app users and revenues. Additionally, the company continued its impressive efforts to expand its geographic reach, adding As-Salt, Ramtha, Mafraq, Tafilah, Madaba, and Karak to its operational areas—which already included Amman, Irbid, Zarqa, and Aqaba. And across all its cities of operation, talabat Jordan continued to onboard new vendors, while simultaneously working to provide better support to these valued partners—including by increasing the frequency with which vendors receive payments from the company. talabat Jordan also continued to expand its own premier grocery delivery service, tmart, in order to serve more customers through this innovative operation; to date, the company operates nine tmart warehouses, or ‘dark stores.’

These achievements in growth and expansion allowed talabat Jordan to continue growing its workforce, both in terms of its full-time staff members and its riders. The company also upgraded the tipping feature on the app, allowing customers to more easily show appreciation for their riders.

Enhancing its Commitment to Corporate Responsibility: In line with its commitment to a purpose-driven business model, talabat Jordan implemented countless corporate responsibility initiatives and programs throughout the first six months of the year, benefiting local communities as well as its neighbors in Palestine—and even those in need in other parts of the world. Through its ongoing partnership with the World Food Programme, talabat Jordan helped fight hunger and support humanitarian relief efforts in Jordan, Palestine, and India, donating portions of its revenues to the cause while also enabling its customers to give back. An additional partnership with the Jordanian Food Bank allowed the company to deepen its efforts to eliminate hunger in the Kingdom and provide vital sustenance to those in need. talabat Jordan also collaborated with the King Hussein Cancer Center on World Cancer Day to aid in raising donations for the benefit of underprivileged cancer patients.

Celebrating Accomplishments with a View to the Future: talabat Jordan’s Managing Director, Hala Siraj, commented on these achievements, saying, “We at talabat are extremely proud of the many milestones we’ve reached in the first half of the year. These accomplishments are a testament to the hard work of all our team members, riders, and vendors, as well as the strength of our business model. Above all, of course, these achievements reflect our customers’ steadfast trust and loyalty, which is what continues to inspire and propel us forward. Our customer-focused and purpose-driven business model will continue to guide us as we pursue new goals in the latter half of 2021, which will aim to deepen our social impact while simultaneously adding more value to customers everywhere.”

Siraj explained that talabat Jordan aims to continue on its current upward trajectory throughout the rest of the year, with plans to add more vendors and riders to its team, to deliver more value and affordability to its customers, and to continue expanding its geographic reach into new cities and governorates. The company is also eager to build upon its breadth of offerings by increasing its non-food vendors and verticals. All of these steps reflect the company’s earnest and tireless efforts to better and more efficiently serve a wider range of customers throughout the Kingdom.
