JEDDAH: More than 12 million people have benefited from Saudi Ministry of Justice e-services this year, completing services via the internet without the need to visit the ministry, the courts or notaries.

The ministry's e-portal offers more than 90 e-services, including e-summons, real estate transfers as well as “MyCases” and “MyAppointments” services.

Electronic services also include filling initial pleading, query on the dates of hearing sessions, following up on formalities and the date of completion, digitally applying for permits for notaries, initial electronic submission for jobs, and e-inquiries about formalities.

The ministry has streamlined required procedures to save time and provide a hassle-free service to customers.

E-services also reduce pressure and workload facing judges and court staff.

Visitor numbers to the ministry’s e-portal is growing daily, the IT maintenance agency said.

The Ministry of Justice is planning to upgrade digitization of its judicial and notarial services in order to streamline services to the beneficiaries, adapt technologies, enhance efficiency and productivity, and ensure rapid service delivery, the agency said.
