DUBAI/HAMBURG  - Egypt's state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), said on Tuesday it had purchased 420,000 tonnes of wheat in international tenders for two shipment periods.

GASC purchased 240,000 tonnes for shipment Sept. 21-30 and 180,000 tonnes for shipment Oct. 1-10, traders said.

They gave the following breakdown of the purchase in dollars per tonne for shipment Sept. 21-30:

*CHS: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $230.99 free-on board (FOB) and $15.34 freight, equating to $246.33 cost and freight (C&F)

*GTCS: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $232 FOB and $16.60 freight, equating to $248.60 C&F

*GTCS: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $233 FOB and $15 freight, equating to $248 C&F

*GTCS: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $233 FOB and $16.60 freight, equating to $249.60 C&F

 

Traders also gave the following breakdown of the purchase for the Oct. 1-10 shipment period:

*GTCS: Two cargoes 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $233.80 FOB and $16.60 freight, equating to $250.40 C&F

*Alegrow: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $233.80 FOB and $16.60 freight, equating to $250.40 C&F
