DUBAI- A Syrian state grains agency has cancelled an international tender to buy 200,000 tonnes of soft wheat sourced from Russia without a purchase being made, a Syrian government source said on Tuesday.
The tender came from Syria's General Establishment for Cereal Processing, Storage and Trade (Hoboob) had closed on Jan. 20.
Sources said on Monday that Hoboob had also made no purchase in a separate tender for 200,000 tonnes of Russian wheat which closed on Dec. 18.
